In this privacy policy, references to “I”, “me” and “LBY” are references to Life Balance Yoga, Egerton Millennium Hall, Elm Court, Egerton, Ashford Kent. TN27 9DS. References to “my website” are to www.lifebalanceyoga.co.uk.
What information I collect and how:
On the Health Declaration form which you fill in and give to me when you first attend a class at Life Balance Yoga, you supply information including some or all of the following:
- Name, address and email address
- Phone number and/or mobile number
- Name and contact details of an emergency contact
- Your email subscription preferences
- Health information
Once I receive these forms, I record your email and mobile numbers electronically and store the forms in accordance with recommended guidelines. If I have any email correspondence with you, these emails are stored electronically.
What I do with your information:
Any personal information I collect from you will be used in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) May 2018.
While I may use third party services to carry out LBY business administration activities, such as the processing and sorting of data, website analytics and broadcasting emails, I will never allow your data to be shared with another company or organisation for their use. LBY is certified by the Information Commissioner’s Office. This registration is renewed annually.
The details I collect will be used:
- To inform you of any class changes, ie cancellations/holiday dates etc.
- To register your interest in upcoming events.
- To keep a record of your attendance.
- To communicate by email/phone/text with you. Email will be the preferred channel of communication but where appropriate, I may text or call you to inform you of a last-minute change of class or other urgent issue.
Your Rights
If you want to, you can update your email preferences. You can contact me and ask for your preferences to be updated.
You have the right to request a copy of any information that I hold about you within one month. If you would like to access this information please contact me. You also have the right to request the removal of any information that I hold about you.
